  1. Thanks for another informative video Dai. I just won bids on two gouges on Ebay. One is an S.J. Addis 3/8" No.5, and the other a Buck Bros. 5/16" No. 4. Should have them on Friday. I'll let you know how they look. Got them at very decent prices to.

  2. Hi Guys another interesting informative video. Although the biggest part of my work is carried out with a variety of good quality knives, I do use a gouge for the bowl of the spoon. I am looking to maybe purchase a few different gouges to have a go at more detailed carving like daffodils, dragons and roses etc.
    Dioch.

  3. Just not worth the expense or trouble. You can get exactly the same result with your flat stones or different grit wet and dry sandpaper. Looks like a commercial to me.

  4. I have a Suehiro set of three similar stones, grits are 280 – 1000 – 3000. If they come from the same factory, that first stone might be 280 indeed.

  5. I really like them !! I have quite a few of the leather end punches that would work on . What do you think it would do for round punches and edge bevelers ? Thanks for your input and time . Great video Kyle!! Thanks again for posting another great video!! Take care and stay safe my friend !

  6. I also wanted to tell you that your sharpening videos inspired me to get whetstones and learn the craft…now all my pocket knives are full so thanks😑 Lol kidding man lots of practice had made good enough and all my kitchen and pocket knives are razor sharp!!!
