  2. Thank you, great ideas and even better technique. I did manage to "fix" a blow-through by planing the base and managing to get an almost invisible join onto an identical piece from the same log. I say "almost invisible because I know it is there, but I have to tell friends to look for it….maybe just beginner's luck.

  3. Very useful video and information Colwin. Can I ask what material you use on top of your push plate to rest the bowl rim on while turning the foot of the bowl? Looks like some form of mesh. Thanks

I have a post for my banjo, and I can make the top, what do you use to connect the threaded post to the flat plywood top? is there a pipe flange that works, or is there something else? Thanks!
