  1. I just received my Grizzly G0462 Lathe last week and am waiting for the delivery of my G0513X2 today. I removed the Head piece off of the Lathe, added the legs to the Base Rails and then reinstalled the Head piece. Your Lathe is heavier so that might not worked as easy for you. Can't wait to get everything set up. I have Oak lumber drying for almost two years in my backyard that I am going to build things out of. Woodworking is an Addiction.

  2. Great Video! Question is it to tall for you? I only ask because I seen a post where someone said their 6' tall and said it was to tall for him

  3. I have this one and it's a great lathe except one thing don't use the stop pin in the hole to hold the spindle for changing chucks or anything else if you do the casting around the holes will break it is very weak in this area. Mine broke and I had to take it to a machine shop to have it fixed. So take care with this so it don't happen to you…

  4. Greetings, I just saw the unboxing video of your G0766. Now since you’ve had it a year what are your thoughts, I am considering it for my shop. Thank you.

  5. Omg I just got the same lathe and I’m so excited to start playing around with it. Hooping up power today and off we go.

  6. Linn, I love your channel and Ive probably watched this unboxing video 10 times. I'm trying to decide between a Revo or the Grizzly G0766. I got gun shy a few weeks ago on the 766 because of reviews and videos that purport vibration issues and medium speeds. The DVR shuts it down almost immediately (from what ive heard in the complaints) when the vibration occurs. Have you had any issues with the 766? Thank you for any help and again, your channel is awesome.

  7. Thank you for this. Just got my grizzly 0733 today and wanted to see a test run. Still need to assemble mine (as we had to take it apart to get it in the basement) tomorrow. After watching this,
I can hardly wait to try mine out. I have upgraded from an old craftsman lathe.

  8. 9 months in, how are you enjoying the Lathe? A couple of weeks ago I took delivery of a Laguna REvo 24/36 which from the looks of yours is a comparable machine, with similar leg size, weight and casting, even the Bed Stops look the same. I'm planing on doing a review video after I've used mine for a little while to give me time to find things I think can or should be improved.

  9. If the tail stock was removed, could the head be moved to the end and used to make a larger table top or platter larger than the 22"?

  10. Because of its capabilities vs cost (very capable with lower cost) this lathe is on my short list. Have fun!

  11. Congrats, I have a G0800 and really like it, had it for about 3 years and turn something almost everyday. I selected mine because of the shape of the headstock. I felt like the square shape as you have would limit my ability to turn from the headstock end. it's all about what you get used to. Have fun with your little lathe, lol. Take care, Larry

  12. I hope you like it.. I have bought from grizzly since 1984.. great products.. 3 years ago I made my own lathe.. it is variable speed bowl lathe..weighs in at 450 pounds.. the inverter take single phase in and inverts out-triple phase.. triple phase can be tuned to variable speed.. single phase can not.. my lathe accepts up to 38 inches in diameter.. much fun..
