I made a quick router fence a few years ago and since that day, building a better one was on my to-do list.

This one is made from Baltic Birch plywood and features adjustable front plates, dust collection and a T-Track so I can use the sliding flip stop from my table saw fence for repeatable cuts. The whole thing is made to be very lightweight with a small footprint for easy storage. It gets clamped to my table saw fence since my router table is built into my saw, but it is versatile enough to work on any fence or be modified for other applications (t-track tables etc.)

  4. That's a bargain for those plans, going to get on here in the morning and buy it. Thanks. I just wish I could now get that into sketchup…tech challenged here.

  5. Your and inspirational "badass". Excellent video and process. I will download your plans. Thank you for sharing.

  6. I made one similar myself (but without the adjustable sides, I just used the same width as the hole in the insert).
I put a lid on the entire width and drilled a couple of holes in the rear plate that sits against the saw's fence for some Bessey TK6 clamps. On the other side of the fence, I put a load spreading board with countersunk holes for the clamps and secured them with a couple of wide slotted washers. That way the entire "contraption" comes off as one complete piece with no need for loose clamps, and no risk of warping the relatively thin aluminium fence.

  7. Ok late to the party but loved the vid

I have a similar set up with a router lift as part of my table saw.

What is that song at the end?

  8. Why are you climb cutting the slots in the front starting at 2:58 Bought your plans, very nice. I plan to put a t-track on the front as well.

  9. I also hate MDF, but I also dislike Canadians but in this case the enemy of my enemy is my friend! Nice fence, I'll subscribe…
