Small Workshop Tour - February 2021 // Single Car Garage Woodworking Shop (20' x 12')

Starting off this YouTube channel with a tour of my one-car garage (20′ x 12′) woodworking shop (with supplementary basement workbench) based in London, Ontario, Canada. While it is a small workshop, I’m grateful to have a mostly-dedicated space for woodworking and I am generally happy with the current layout.

It’s been a fun experience recording/editing my first video and I look forward to sharing more in the future – thank you for watching!

  1. Well use of the space congrats. How do you keep this space so clean? The crowded spaces in my shop are so dusty yours is immaculate

  2. Wow! What a collection of toys! I'll definitely be watching your channel and hopefully learning cool stuff.

  3. Nice little shop Jon. You've got a ton of tools crammed in there but when you get your storage out of there it will open up. I subscribed at number 189, now in a couple years when you are at 5-10,000 subs I can say I was here from the beginning. I thought you did fine for a first video, you'll be great after a few more, good luck brother, I'll be here..

  4. Thanks for the tour, that's a really nice shop you've got. Impressive way of solving the storing of the tooling.

  5. Definitely a great space man. I'm in a 10' x 20' shed so definitely understand packing things in where I can. Hope you get your space you need. Thanks for sharing the video

  6. If you have a small shop like mine, how do you keep the space organized and optimized? Let me know in the comments below!

  7. I can totally relate to working out of a small shop dude! My shop is also a one-car garage. I have mine set up loosely based on Matt Teague's FWW article. I'm about to change things around though. Making use of the vertical space on the walls has been a huge help. Subscribed. 🙂

  8. I enjoy your enthusiasm! Your excitement over the tools you have, rather than some videos where people are always talking about upgrades they want is refreshing!

  9. Extremely hard to organize a small shop and it is all about being tidy and organized. My shop is 9 by 26 and the width is rather problematic. In general, I try to do one change at a time and see how it lives up over time. I still got a lot of work to do on my shop to be presentable.

I am also sold to the portable tools (dewalt palm router and sanders are especially great!!!)

  10. Nice shop! I can't pan around in my garage because I might trip on something. I guess it's time to purge and organize. Subscribed!

  11. Hi, thank you for sharing your shop information. If you don’t mind please let me know what items you make and how do you sell them?
    Thank you

  12. Nice to see a small shop that doesn't look hollywood-ready. I'm just beginning my small single-car garage shop clean & re-org. I'm a little west of you, in Sarnia. Do you leave your batteries & finishes in the shop all winter?

  13. Wow, very nice video and great job with the small space. I cant imagine the cold you describe. I live in Hawaii. Keep making videos.

  14. Nice tour. Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of continuing your workflow to downstairs. I might have to try that.
